Event Information
Ski for Life 2020 will run from
Friday 6th until Sunday 8th March 2020.
Pre Event - Thursday 5th March 2020
Teams meet in Murray Bridge on the evening of Thursday 6th March for dinner and a briefing as well as boat safety inspections and an all round good night of meeting the fellow Ski For Life participants.
Day One - Friday 6th March 2020
Kicking off at Sturt Reserve, Murray Bridge, our teams will assemble for breakfast and the official opening of the event. With members of the local community invited, they kindly wave off the teams as they take off upstream with stops at Younghusband, Swan Reach, Blanchetown finishing at Morgan for the night.
Day Two - Saturday 7th March 2020
Saturday morning we depart Morgan early bound for Cadell. Cadell is a very special place on the Ski For Life route and it is where we take part in an amazing community organised ceremony remembering those we have lost to suicide. From there we head to Caudo Winery for the worlds best sangria, on to Waikerie and finishing up at Cobdogla.
Saturday evening is a fantastic opportunity to really have some fun at the offical team dinner held at the Cobdogla Club. Here is where we can find out more about each team and share skiing stories collected over the past two days whilst indulging in a great buffet dinner.
Day Three - Sunday 8th March 2020
Sunday we head to Loxton, Martin’s Bend (near Berri) and finish with a grand finale at Renmark. This is another great opportunity for the public to come along and support the completion of the Ski For Life event at the Renmark Club. Here we will be hosting the offical Ski For Life closing celebrations that include afternoon refreshments, formal presentations and a few small fundraising initiatives. It is always a great afternoon at the Renmark Club!
From here, teams will make their way out to our final destination, Paringa Resort, where we can sit back and enjoy the accomplishment of participating in Ski For Life alongside new found friends over dinner.
Included in your registration is lunches, dinners, unpowered camping, endless fun (on and off the river!) and an opportunity to raise awareness and funds for a vital cause!
There will be more details to share as we get closer to the 2020 event. In the mean time, feel free to get in touch via email at info@skiforlife.com.au
